Matt Caporale

Pastor of Youth

Youth Pastor

Biography:
Having a father in the Air Force caused us to move around a lot, but from 5th grade on I was raised in Warner Robins and graduated from Houston County High School. After high school I joined the military as an Army Ranger. Afterwards, I was a Police officer in Warner Robins. I became a follower of Christ at 23 years old and then I left my job and went to Truett-McConnell University. I am now a senior pursuing a Bachelors in World Missions. Upon completion at Truett I will be getting my Masters of Divinity in Theology from Southeastern Seminary. I am the husband to Tiffany (the best wife any man could ask for) and our two amazing boys, Elijah & Ezra. We are so excited to play a small role in helping the youth at FBCH ground their faith in the unchanging Word of God!

Fun Facts About Me:
Favorite Food: I could literally eat Mexican food every day of the week!
Favorite Movie: 180? South & TopGun
Favorite Books: I know the Bible is the cliche answer but I really do read it everyday, so that would have to be number 1. With that said, I was taught early on in my walk with Christ that “leaders are readers” so I read a lot. I love John Owen’s “The death of death”, Charles Spurgeon “Lectures to my Students”, and J.I. Packer’s “Knowing God”. I also love a lot of the Puritans like Richard Baxter, Thomas Goodwin, John Bunyan, and Jonathan Edwards. Finally, some of the modern authors I read are R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur, John Piper, Mark Dever, David Platt, and Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
Favorite T.V. Shows: Go Dawgs!, The Office, and soccer (Atlanta United is killing it this year!)
Favorite Pastime: I love getting out in nature with my family. Hiking, camping, mountain biking, we love to do anything outside!
Dream Vacation: I don’t really know how to answer this one. My wife and I love to travel. We have been to a lot of different countries. My favorite two cities though are Budapest, and Istanbul. So going back to either of those cities I guess.
