John Fowler “Brother Tubby”

I was born in Houston County June 21, 1941 and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior in July 1953. FBC Haynesville asked me to lead the singing at the age of 13. I became the Royal Ambassador (RA’s) Group leader at the age of 15 and Graduated from Perry High School in 1959 and entered the Air Force in July of 1959. On November 15, 1959 I married my high school sweat heart Lavonia Peavy and spent 8 years in the military with 2 tours of Vietnam. I was discharged in February of 1968 and started to work at Robins AFB as an Engineering Data Supervisor for 37 years. While I was in the military I was ordained as a Deacon at FBC Haynesville in 1963.

Lavonia and I lived in this area all our married life and we have two children (Michael and Deborah) and four Grandchildren and Three Great Grand Children. I am still serving the lord as Senior Citizen Minister, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and serving on numerours church committees.

The Bridge is a class for young married couples or those with young children. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30pm. We know that this is a busy time in life and we have found that it is good to fellowship with others that are going through the same time in life. We like to look at current issues from a Biblical perspective. Come and join us this week!
